❎If a hammer (or other כלי שמלאכתו לאיסור ) is on the unoccupied end of the table, and its place is not needed, it may not be moved.

❎If the hammer (or other כלי שמלאכתו לאיסור ) is on a table which is not needed for Shabbos use, but one does not want it in that place because it does not look Shabbosdik or right on table, it is not considered צריך גופו ומקומו and the hammer may not be moved.

❎If the table is needed after Shabbos or the hammer ( or other כלי שמלאכתו לאיסור ) is needed after Shabbos, it is not considered צריך גופו ומקומו and it may not be moved.

✅If a hammer (or other כלי שמלאכתו לאיסור) was left on the floor obstructing one’s path, it may be moved צריך ומקומו. .

❎If the hammer (or other כלי שמלאכתו ל איסור )is left in the corner not obstructing ones path, it may not be moved.

✅If a hammer (or other כלי שמלאכתו לאיסור) is lying on a shelf blocking the removal of seforim, since one needs the place in order to take the sefer out, the hammer may be moved צריך מקומו

✅If a hammer( or other כלי שמלאכתו ל לאיסור) is lying on the windowsill, it may be removed in order to close the window צריך מקומו.

❎Using a trick to remove the hammer in any of the above cases is not permitted since it is not preventing a loss.
